He said to them “Come after me (as disciples) letting me be your guide, follow me – and I will make you fishers of men. Matt 4.19 AMP
We may need a new tax system and a new industrial relations system, but it won’t fix the problems of this country. We don’t need a new SYSTEM of anything. What we need is a Renewed RELATIONSHIP with God.
As Australians, we need to pray or God may bypass our nation or this generation. We need a renewed relationship.
EM Bounds said, “Our praying needs to be pressed and pursued with an energy that never tires, a persistency that will not be denied and a courage which never fails.”
We need God’s heart for lost humanity – then we will give up and sacrifice, time, energy and finances.
Our generation is too caught up in our materialism. Australia has the best standard of living in the world. Instead of being immensely thankful to God we have become selfish, careless and apathetic to the lost of both our nation and others.
Abraham was blessed to be a blessing Gen 12.2
You are too. God’s plan was always the salvation of ALL men.
“Your descendants will be like the dust of the earth, and you will spread out to the west and to the east, to the north and to the south. All peoples on earth will be blessed through you and your offspring.” Genesis 28:14 14

“All kings will bow down to him and all nations will serve him.” Psalm 72.11
“In the last days the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established as chief among the mountains; it will be raised above the hills, and all nations will stream to it.” Isa 2. 2
“Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I delight; I will put my Spirit on him and he will bring justice to the nations.” Isa 42. 1
“O LORD, my strength and my fortress, my refuge in time of distress, to you the nations will come from the ends of the earth and say, “Our fathers possessed nothing but false gods, worthless idols that did them no good.” Jer 16.19
“He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all peoples, nations and men of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.” Dan7. 14
“I will plant her for myself in the land; I will show my love to the one I called ‘Not my loved one. I will say to those called ‘Not my people, ‘You are my people’; and they will say, ‘You are my God.’ ” Hos2.23
God sent prophets to tell them; the Jews lost the plot; they were supposed to tell the Gentiles the plan of salvation. Finally He sent Jesus!
Jesus reinforced what the prophets had said, “Then Jesus came to them and said, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” Matt28.18
“and repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.” Luk24. 47
- God was always concerned for the whole world
- Jesus was concerned for the whole world
- Stop being so selfishly concerned just with your own little vineyard
- Jesus told us who to talk to.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1.8

- Few prove themselves worthy of their choosing
The call is the common call of the gospel to all men.
The choosing – those that prove themselves worthy of that choosing by calling on him
Rom 10.13 All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
Chosen: Gk Eklektos, elect, to select, chosen out
